About Us

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland; Brothers, Stephen & Paul Nicholson have been HUGE music lovers from a very young age.

Listening to their Dad's record collection, which features the likes of The Beatles, Queen & Led Zeppelin, ignited a lifelong passion for music in all its shapes and forms.

They founded Trimming The Musical Fat in 2021 (during the COVID pandemic lockdown) so they would make time to listen to and discuss music together. Primarily, they wanted to discuss albums they felt were too long & curate versions that had an under 50-minute run-time.

In 2022, they created their second podcast - Trimming The Movie Fat. Instead of music, the boys re-watch a movie series and agree which films are not worthy of being in it.
